(Artist)
Born in an ancient oak forest shortly before the 1980s, Sylvestre spent most of his childhood climbing trees and observing nature, and later riding waves around the world on his surfboard. A sculptor even before birth, he has always had objects and tools in his hands, guided by an imagination that did the rest—highly sensitive, perceptive and somewhat shy.
He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara and subsequently worked in several art studios in Pietrasanta, where he acquired marble carving techniques, particularly for monumental works. He later founded his own studio, where he brought his creations to life.
His sculptures are now part of public and private collections in major cultural capitals around the world, including Paris, London, Rome, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Dubai, as well as Pietrasanta, where he works, and The Hague, where he lives.
