(Architects)
Studio is a collaborative practice founded by Johanna Meyer-Grohbrügge from Germany and Sam Chermayeff from New York. The two met at SANAA in Tokyo, where they worked together from 2005 to 2010.
June14 Meyer-Grohbrügge & Chermayeff was established with a desire to create things, places and atmospheres for people. The studio’s work seeks to foster relationships: between people and architecture, architecture and people, and ultimately between people themselves. June14 explores different ways of living and working in the contemporary world.
The practice is grounded in the belief that architecture can make things happen—and that things can also happen to architecture. Conceived as an ongoing exchange with its users, the studio remains open to dialogue, experimentation and new ideas.
