Aldo Cibic

Aldo Cibic was born in Vicenza in 1955. In 1981, as a partner at Sottsass Associati, he was among the founders of Memphis. His projects Microrealities (2004) and Rethinking Happiness (2010) were presented at the Venice Architecture Biennale.

Through Cibicworkshop, a multidisciplinary research centre, he focuses on developing alternative and sustainable design typologies aimed at enhancing territories and fostering a new cultural, emotional and environmental awareness of public space. Aldo Cibic has taught at the Politecnico di Milano, IUAV University of Venice and Domus Academy, and is an Honorary Professor at Tongji University in Shanghai.
